Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Daily Prayer Prompts


Friday 10/7:  Pray that we would learn to abide in the humility of Christ, having His mindset of obedience to God as we prepare to launch Lakeside Alliance Church.

Saturday 10/8: Pray for humility to fill our hearts, enabling us to surrender our rights and preferences in sacrifice to God and service to others.

Sunday 10/9: Pray for our pastors, elders, and leaders, that they will walk in a manner worthy of their calling, with all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in love, and growing in dependence upon the Lord.

Monday 10/10: Pray that our humility would lead to peace as we recognize that God’s ways and thoughts are much higher than our ways and thoughts, so we can trust Him to do what is best in all situations.

Tuesday 10/11: Pray that our church family would practice humility in our preparations for Lakeside Alliance Church, looking not only to our own interests but also to the interests of others.

Wednesday 10/12: Pray that God would give us the grace needed to resist pride and instead practice humility toward all people, including our enemies.

Thursday 10/13: Pray that in humility, many people from our church family will answer God’s call to join Lakeside Alliance Church.
