I am so thankful to have been raised in an authentic Christian home where my parents modeled what it meant to be a follower of Christ. I remember praying in my bed one night as a child and just being so grateful that God would forgive me for my sins – understanding for the first time the punishment that I deserved was taken by Jesus on the cross. Although I strayed at times during high school and in college, the Lord has been so faithful to keep drawing me to Himself over the years through His grace. Jesus is still teaching me today what it means to abide in Him.
I grew up in Texas but then moved to the Midwest to pursue my M.B.A. at the University of Chicago where I graduated in 1995. My wife Michelle and I thought we would move back to Texas some day, but God had a different plan for us in Wisconsin. We have since been blessed to raise our family in Cedarburg over the past 25+ years, and to be a part of Alliance Bible Church the entire time. We have three adult children and one grandson.
I so appreciate the many friends God has brought into my life, especially through relationships at Alliance. Although I am an introvert, God has shown me the joy of investing in people’s lives, and I relish serving as an elder and in mens’ and couples’ ministries. In my spare time I also enjoy trail running, kayaking, watching Texas A&M football, and any activity I get to do together with my fun wife.
