Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Our Discover Alliance Events take place quarterly and are from 12:00 – 1:00pm on a Sunday after church. Bring the whole family for a 60 minute catered luncheon where you have the opportunity to meet the pastors, staff, and learn more about Alliance Bible Church. You’ll get to hear about our history and where we believe God is taking us in the future. Will you join us?
Life Groups are small, gospel-centered communities, where people are invited to gather together and “do life” with each other. We desire for these groups to be open, fun, prayerful, caring, biblical and to multiply in ways that unleash followers of Jesus around the world. Our groups are flexibly scheduled, seasonally launched (September & January), and incredibly life-giving.
Join us for one of our next Connect Sundays when you’ll have an opportunity to join a Life Group. Click on “Go To Events” to find the next connect Sunday.
Our life group has provided us the opportunity to fellowship and raise our children with like minded parents in our church and our community.
Having friends you can confide in and trust is important. My family is a transplant in the area and without our life group we wouldn't have those close connections.
If you have a longing in your heart to get involved and make a lasting spiritual impact in the lives of others, then we want to invite you to consider serving. Serving God is a joy and a privilege. We want to be willing to do whatever is needed and serve cheerfully. When possible, we want you to have the opportunity to serve where you are best suited and most gifted. If you aren’t sure where that is, we will help.
Membership is not a membership as in a civic organization or a country club, but as a functioning member of the body of Christ. When we receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, we became a part of the body of Christ. When we commit to the local church we are committing to the bride of Christ! Christ loves his bride, the church, and gave himself up for her. Now we have the opportunity to serve others and be a part of something so much greater than any one person or member.
The first step in becoming a member is attending our “Explore Membership” class. This is held a couple of times each year, and is an overview of what it means to be a member of Alliance Bible Church, the basic truths of Christianity, and the unique ministries of our church. Check our events page to find out about the next Explore Membership Class.
If you have any questions, please see one of our pastors, or contact the church office at 262-375-2400 or info@myabc.church
Membership is a spiritual, public commitment to worship, grow and serve at our particular Church. We hope that you will get acquainted with our church and, most importantly, Jesus Christ.
Although you are welcome to attend without obligation, we encourage you to learn about us and the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA). At Alliance Bible Church, we encourage a firm commitment to the local church. Christ was so committed to the church that He gave His life for it, and then directed His apostles to establish local assemblies of believers everywhere.
The first step in becoming a member is attendance at our Membership Matters Class. This is held several times per year, and is an overview of the basic truths of Christianity and the unique ministries of our church.
The second step is to indicate your desire for membership by filling out and submitting an application form for prospective membership.
The third step is to meet with our leadership (Elders) privately to give a personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior.
The fourth step in becoming a member occurs at a worship service when we publicly extend the right hand of fellowship to those who have met the preceding requirements.
Membership is viewed as a covenant of commitment to God and His people in this local body of believers.
We would be happy to further explain the organization of Alliance Bible Church and expectations for membership. For more information, please see a Pastor or an Elder.
Water baptism is as an outward expression of inward faith. Water baptism expresses our identity in Christ. However, like a logo to a ball team, it does not determine that identity.
We schedule water baptisms a few times a year. Spiritual and practical preparation is available through the Baptism Orientation Class which is conducted a week or two prior to the baptismal service. The class is for those desiring to know more about the Scripture’s teaching on baptism and/or for those desiring to be baptized. Once a baptism is scheduled, the congregation is notified via the ABC eNews (a church wide email), and the church bulletin.
For more information on water baptism, see the Christian and Missionary Alliance information link.
Alliance Bible Church is a gospel-centered, biblically-grounded church whose core mission is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ locally and globally. It is our desire to see people respond in repentance and faith and to see believers grow in their love for, and obedience to, Jesus Christ.
