I was 8 years old when I surrendered my life to Christ after my Mom shared with me how I could come to know Christ and have a relationship with Him. My Mom and Dad had recently given their hearts to the Lord through an invitation from friends to attend a Bible Study. We started attending Alliance Bible Church as a family soon after in 1979. I grew in my faith by attending church, Sunday school, and youth group. When I went to college, I plugged in to a local church as well as The Navigators and Cru which were active on the campus. God really used that time in my life to grow my faith in him and learn how to lead small group Bible studies.

I was born and raised in Cedarburg. I graduated from Dartmouth College majoring in Engineering and Economics. The summer after graduating, I worked at TimberLee Christian Camp in East Troy where I met my wife, Della. We married the following year. I currently serve as President for our family business, Dahlman Construction Company, a 4 th generation general contractor based in Milwaukee.

We have three adult daughters, Abigail, Alicia, and Amanda. Abigail is married to Luke and they have one son, Micah, and live in West Bend. Alicia is married to Skyler, and they live in Nashville. Amanda recently completed her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and hopes to enter private practice in the Milwaukee area. Della is the Area Director for Moms In Prayer and enjoys doing pet therapy with our dog at Aurora Hospital in Grafton.
