I grew up in New Jersey, the 2nd born of solid Christian parents.  I prayed to receive Jesus as my Savior at an early age, but it wasn’t until my first year at Nyack College when I fully surrendered to His lordship in my life.  As a result, my journey with Christ has been an exciting adventure as I have learned to trust His leading and His faithfulness to me.

While at college I met and fell in love with a beautiful young woman named Cindi, and after graduating with an applied music degree, we were married in 1985.  While she finished school, I earned an MA degree from Teachers College at Columbia University in NYC and we promptly took the only grandchild, our first child (Amanda),  from both sides of the family 3000 miles away to take a take a position as a teacher in a Christian school in Poulsbo, Washington.

After 2 years of teaching, I was called by God to full-time church ministry and became a licensed pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1989 and ordained in 2001.  I served 3 growing churches in Washington with responsibilities in the areas of worship, youth, missions, and small groups. While there, Cindi and I contributed to church growth with 6 more children (Heidi, Adele, Natalie, Daniel, Davy, and Mary) as God prepared the way for us to settle us long term elsewhere.

Interestingly, I received a call from Alliance Bible Church in March 1998 to apply for a worship arts pastor position that they had recently opened.  We were not considering a move at that time, so when we were approached by another Alliance church in Wisconsin just 2 months later, we felt that God was prompting us to relocate to this beautiful state.  In the fall of 1998, I had the privilege of serving as the first worship arts pastor of Appleton Alliance Church which lasted for 21 years and followed by another 2 years there as an executive pastor.  While in Appleton, we completed our family with the birth of 2 more sons (Stephen and Noah).

As our youngest child moved away, it became evident that God was leading us to yet another place of ministry where we would experience the “empty nest” for the first time.  So, 24 years later after the initial call from Alliance Bible Church, we began ministering here in June of 2022 and are excited to be a part of this gospel-centered community.

Cindi and I live in Port Washington and in our free time we enjoy walking, biking, watching movies, and eating good food.
