Jo Kowalski

Deaconess

Except for brief moves to Iowa and Illinois when I was a child and a year at the University of Arizona, I have always lived in the Milwaukee area. I was 38 when I gave my life to Christ while attending a small start up church that met in a theater. There were only about 50 attenders so it was easy for a shy introvert to become involved in serving. So, when we made the move to Alliance Bible Church about 25 years ago and I was asked if I would teach Sunday school, I said yes, and I have been teaching the 4 and 5 year-old class ever since as well as volunteering in other ministry areas, currently as a deaconess.

My husband, Paul, and I have 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 dogs that keep us busy. I enjoy golf, Bible study, coffee house chats, family get-togethers, “dates” with my grandchildren and binge watching the latest TV series my husband and I have “discovered”.
