Michelle Jesko

Deaconess

I am so grateful that God placed me in a family that taught me about Jesus from a young age. He became my Savior when I was in 5 th grade, but I didn’t make him my Lord until my mid- twenties, after a futile season of trying to live life on my own. In God’s perfect timing and through His grace, He rescued me from myself, and He has been teaching me how to love and follow Him ever since.

I grew up in West Texas, where I met and married my high school sweetheart, Brent. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in journalism, I worked as a high school journalism teacher. But I gave that up once we moved to Wisconsin and had our first child. Brent and I now have three adult children and one grandchild. We have lived in Wisconsin longer than we lived in Texas, so I guess you can say we are official cheeseheads!

Alliance has been our church home for over 25 years. I truly love this church family and have grown tremendously in my faith through the teachings and friendships here. I am grateful to be able to serve through my role as a deaconess and also through Women’s Ministry. When I’m not at church, I love traveling with my family, kayaking, playing piano, and meeting friends for
chai tea or a walk.
