I was raised in a wonderful Christian home with parents and siblings that loved the Lord. As a young man, I chose a different path. But at 19 years old, I saw the error of my ways and chose Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I met my wife, Susan, at Fort Wilderness when we were in junior high school. She lived near Chicago and I lived in Rhinelander and it took a number of years before our friendship blossomed into love. We were married in 1976. We have four children that were all raised at Alliance Bible Church. We began attending there in 1982. What a wonderful home It’s been for us to worship and fellowship with like-minded believers. We have been very involved ever since. I’ve been an elder many times, we started the Awana clubs, and Sue was the Director of women’s ministries.
Sadly, Sue passed away in 2010 from pancreatic cancer. It was a shock to all of us, and it happened all too quickly. The grief of her loss is always there, but God brings joy to those who mourn and yet trust Him. My Alliance Bible Church family helped carry me through this grieving process.
God brought me into a new relationship with Mary and we were married in 2014. I’m surprised every day and I have been able to find true love twice. God is gracious.
We serve together at Alliance and can’t believe how important our church life is to us and how we live life.
