When the Christian life gets hard, where do you find the fuel to keep going?
In 1 Timothy 6, Paul gives Timothy four commands: Flee. Pursue. Fight. Take hold. But he doesn’t leave Timothy staring at himself and trying harder. He turns his eyes toward God: the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
When your faith is weak, temptation is strong, obedience is difficult, or you’re simply exhausted, the answer isn’t more willpower. Look up.
We’ll discover where the fuel for the fight really comes from.
1) Know your identity
2) Fight your battle
3) See your God
