Life Groups
Ministry Overview
What is a Life Group? – Every Life Group will look different, but each group has the same vision: to be a life-giving community committed to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. As we are transformed by the gospel, we cannot help but to gather and spur each other along. A life group meets in a home and consists of 6 to 14 multigenerational individuals.
Acts 2:42-47
In Acts 2:42-47, where God is calling the church to “devote themselves with glad and sincere hearts to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer together.” This is what Life Group Ministry is all about!
Life Change
Jesus’ call to the church to be his hands and feet to a broken world has placed a burning desire in the heart of our church to be intentional about making a tangible difference in our community.
Cultivate Relationship
Our hope in this endeavor is to disciple the men, women, students, and children that God has placed in our church family to live justly in our neighborhoods and nearby communities.
Promote Participation
We believe that God has a heart for justice and pays close attention to how we treat the broken people around us.
Provide Care
Scripture is clear that the grace we receive demands our action on behalf of those in need.
Learn
What material is studied in a Life Group?
It is up to leaders of the group to pick a study. Studies range from video series, books, or a specific book of the Bible. All studies are Biblically grounded and pastor vetted.
Join
How do I join a Life Group?
We have two open seasons to join a Life Group: January/February and September/October. These open times to join a Life Group are called Connect Sundays. Connect Sundays take place after services on a Sunday and give an opportunity for those interested in joining a Life Group time and opportunity to talk to various leaders of open groups and see what which is a good fit.
We do not place people within groups, but encourage individuals to seek out in person connection before the group officially kicks off. Leaders extend invitations based upon openings in the group. We are adding new groups throughout the year, but recognize the demand exceeds the current openings.
