I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 8 yrs old. My 13 yr old sister was invited to AWANA by a neighborhood friend and she loved it! She invited me to go with her. I came home from AWANA one night and asked my sister to explain what I heard during counsel time about being a sinner and needing a Savior. So we sat down on my bedroom floor and she opened her Bible to Romans (a book she would later memorize entirely and win the National Talents for Christ her Senior Year of High School). She told me that Rom 3:23 says all have sinned and showed me all of the other verses in Romans to help me understand my need to receive the free gift of Salvation (Romans 6:23). Then she asked me if I wanted to pray after we read Romans 10:9&10. We ended with Romans 10:13 (For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!) We continued attending AWANA and bringing many other kids with us. We started going to Church and Sunday School as well and grew in our faith. I was baptized when I was 13 and started serving in the church when I was 15 as an AWANA leader (back then there were no puggles, cubbies or sparks! Just Chums/Pals 3-6th; Guards/Pioneers 7/8th; and Shipmates –High School!)

I have been married to my husband Matt since 1988. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Katelyn is our oldest. She has been married to Austin since 2013. They have two children, Theodore & Alaythia. They are missionary associates serving in the Middle East. Our son, Andrew has been married to Abby for over 10 years. And finally, we adopted Anaika from Haiti when she was 5 year old. She is now 18.. You will see her helping with Kingdom or helping in Gathering Grounds on a Sunday.

As a family we enjoy Christian Contemporary Music concerts and playing with our goldendoodle Lucy and chug (pug/chihuahua mix), Chip.

I have held several positions as an Administrative Assistant throughout my lifetime and am thankful that God has led me here to Alliance bible church where I can use my skills for His glory!
